Summer Camp & Weekend Classes

A summer camp for ages 6–16, boarding or mornings, and Saturday classes for ages 8–18 through the school year.

Summer camp

Every summer the mosque runs a camp for boys and girls aged 6 to 16, teaching Qur’an and fiqh through the long break. Families choose between boarding for the week or coming in for the mornings — both groups sit the same lessons, together, in the middle of the day.

The camp runs through the whole of July and the first half of August. Exact start and end dates are published on this page closer to the time.

The shared day ends at 2:30. Boys who board stay on: two further lessons of forty-five minutes each, the remaining prayers in congregation, and time set aside for games and activities before the night. Four nights a week, Monday to Friday.

Fees and registration

Fees are charged by the week and there is no minimum stay. A child continues for as long as the family wants them to — a fortnight of camp or the whole six weeks, one term of Saturday classes or every term.

If you are enrolling more than one child, speak to the office when you bring them in. Sibling arrangements are agreed there, in person, at registration.
